The Poetry of Michael Langston

(32) A LONGING

How I long...
For something to give my life an importance,
To escape the boredom of everyday existence
And find at last our life's true meaning:
To bring to light an unknown truth
Lain in darkness all ages past,
To sail a vast, uncharted sea
And reach the shores...
Of an undiscovered world.
