The Poetry of Michael Langston

(19) LOVE AND SHYNESS

They'd now and then exchange a glance;
And when their eyes did meet by chance,
He'd turn and look the other way,
Not knowing what to do or say.

And she would do the same thing too
As if to say, I don't want you,
Would look away...but only too
Not knowing what to say or do.
